just sayin’.
Maybe I’ll read some James-Lily fics to send myself into an even deeper depression with even more feels.

Aaron Johnson doing everything he can to ensure he is never put in a James Potter graphic ever again
GOOD
Don’t underestimate the James Potter fandom, Mr. Johnson. We will find a way.

I UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELS. that is exactly how I felt when I wrote jily smut the other day. I was like WHOAMIWHATAMIDOING.
I’m sure she’s just remarkably busy. Being an adult with a job, she doesn’t get the luxury or “summer breaks” or anything and her job itself is quite demanding.
Thanks so much! Cheers!

bitcheslovefoldedsocks answered your question: what music do you listen to while writing, if any?
A lot of things. Usually I “research” my songs if I can’t find any that fit my mood. I get a lot of songs from YouTube fanvids, ngl.
I should look into fanvids for songs… I generally avoid them, but sometimes the lyrics (that people post with graphics and stuff) are perfection.

Generally movie/TV show scores or Florence + the Machine
FLORENCEEEEE!~

only stuff I don’t know the words to (which can be limiting, admittedly) because if I know the lyrics, I start singing them and get distracted
BAH yes I hear ya. I’m a good one for that, too. Even if I’m just singing it in my head I end up getting distracted and can’t write, ha. But sometimes, if it’s fitting enough and if I’m truly focused it’ll work.

I usually find a song that fits the mood of what I’m writing, then make iTunes genius make a playlist. Otherwise silence.
HM yes. I never utilize iTunes genius. The few times I’ve tried it tells me there’s not enough to make a playlist and I’m like. Well. FYOU ITUNES. USELESSPIECEOFCRAP.

ingrid michaelson. she has such a beautiful and natural voice..:-)
LOVE her. She is always a good pick- and a few times I’ve written one-shots while just listening to a song of hers on repeat. c:
